This afternoon I checked out the Big Huge Labs website and tried my hand at creating a trading card. I can see many uses for this in a library setting. My example highlights some of our new fiction books, but you could also spotlight authors or subjects. Students could incorporate trading cards in book reports, creating one trading card for each major character in the book. The Carleton College example of trading cards for their library staff was kind of cool, but I'm not sure I'm quite up for that yet! Here is my trading card creation. I imported a picture from my Photobucket account to Big Huge Labs, and created the trading card. I then saved it to my desktop and imported it into this post.
