Thing 2 - Finding Time to Complete the 23 Things

I liked what Stephen Abram said in the video about finding time to complete the "23 Things on a Stick". I am very excited to learn the "things" in this program. It was very easy for me to find the time for "Thing 1" because it was so fun setting up my blog, creating my avitar, making a word puzzle, etc. I really enjoyed those tasks and my husband says I am "addicted" to my blog. I now see why kids these days (including my daughter) spend so much time on FaceBook and MySpace.

It has been a little harder to find the time to start "Thing 2" because I am afraid that I won't be able to contribute to the discussion as well as the Librarians/Media Specialists will. With that said, today is President's Day and a day off for me. I should be getting ready to go to lunch with my sister and here I am learning about L2. I have worked in the ERHS Media Center for 14 years (can it be that long?!?) and sometimes change is hard for me. Fortunately, technology changes seem to challenge and excite me. Technology changes keep my job interesting. The Media Specialist (Runaway Train) I work for is also completing the "23 Things on a Stick" and I can't wait to see how our collaboration changes how students at ERHS perceive and use the Media Center.
