At first, I didn't think I wanted to join Facebook. Having a college-aged daughter convinced me that Facebook would be another way I could stay in touch with her. As it turns out, I have been pleasantly surprised to be able to connect with nieces and nephews, a sister-in-law, former students, co-workers and even friends from high school. Facebook announced today that: "150 million people around the world are now actively using Facebook and almost half of them are using Facebook every day. This includes people in every continent—even Antarctica. If Facebook were a country, it would be the eighth most populated in the world, just ahead of Japan, Russia and Nigeria." I agree. at first it thought that i would only sign on to facebook about once a week, but i admit I am on everyday.
